Benchmark iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, compared to the version iPhone, iPad before

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is not only improved in terms of exterior design, that is equipped with the new hardware inside. For example, 6 and 6 Plus possesses higher screen resolution than any previous iPhone. In addition to Apple A8 processor is based on 64-bit architecture for computing performance and the graphics is high.

So now, we will try to find out 6 and 6 Plus are greater compared to the other members of the mobile ecosystem from Apple, including the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPad 4, iPad and iPad mini Air retina.
Notes :

  • All Devices are upgraded to iOS 8
  • Before its benchmark, turn off all other applications, only benchmark app or browser benchmark measurements
  • Benchmark score will not reflect the full use of your experience with the device

Benchmark app can measure processing capabilities (floating point calculation, the actual number) and the performance of RAM on our iOS devices. You can see that Ipad and Ipad mini retina score very high high points, ahead of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus about 40%. The 6 has a slightly higher score than 6 Plus, about 4.8%
But when it comes to employ many core to handle. many things change:leading iPhone 6, 6 Plus is second, third is the Air iPhone 5s and iPad to take fourth place. The gap between the iPhone 6/6 Plus with no more 5s, approximately 13.7%, while the iPhone 5 is only half the points scored than the two new phones only.

We turn to the second measurement is GFX Bench. This is a tool used to benchmark the graphics performance, and their choice is the result of a T-Rex HD for comparison between the different devices. As expected, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus continues to lead, but this time 6 Plus scored higher.iPhone 5s, Air and iPad mini iPad retina to approximately the same results with a number of frames per second from 27 to 28,4fps, they are less than 6 Plus about 35-36%. Apple A8 for each ad that GPU performance up to 84 times higher than the first-generation iPhone.

Meanwhile, scores GFX Bench on iPhone 5 and iPad 4 are much lower than the other devices. Results of iPhone 5 less than 6 Plus to nearly 6.5 times, iPad 4 less than 3.2 times. Notably, it is the iPhone 5 and iPad 4 SoC using 32-bit only, while 6/6 Plus iPhone, iPhone 5s, Air and iPad mini iPad retina are equipped with 64-bit chip. Perhaps this is the main cause of the large difference in bench scores.

In this measurement, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus chasing each other very closely, and the difference is almost negligible. Machines for processing speed 21% faster than iPhone 5s and 1.4 times more than the iPhone 5. iPad Air show more agile than iPhone 5s in this test. And once again, we see a huge difference between the scores of the iPad 4 and iPhone 5 running 32-bit chip than the other devices use 64-bit SoC.

In short, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus lead in almost every article that you benchmark for testing, benchmarking app when installed on a computer or run directly in the browser. In the measurement of multi-core CPU, 6 and 6 Plus showed greatly improved performance, the same is happening with the graphics processor. Some suggest that enables iPhone 6 benchmark slightly faster than the iPhone 6 Plus, though the difference is not great.
